Just a 60 second clip with no sound. My little Andy Baby visited Great Grandma and decided that her walker is the best toy of all. He made Grandpa Arthur laugh by waving "bye bye."

Photos from Jimmy and Andy's Brief Visit
Jimmy and one grand-twin have come and gone, and now I'm sad. Maine is simply too far away! But it's too cold most of the year to tempt me to move there, at least for now. :)
Tiffanie couldn't make the trip because of work restraints, so my other little angel Stevie didn't come either. Although I know there will be other visits, I feel like my Grandma cup was only half full this time. Sigh.
I know it was a pretty big job for Jimmy to fly with just the one, and I was glad to at least have Andy Baby. So now I'll share some snapshots from their visit. (Sorry Jim, for some reason we took more pictures of that cute baby than of you! Har har.) To tell the truth, Little Andy Pandy looks just like Jimmy when he was small.

Grandma and her little man.

Grandpa and baby enjoyed watching "Dancing with the Stars."

This Grandma stuff is a real treat!

Smile and say Cheese!!
I guess it's a good thing my grandkids don't visit as often as I would like, or else this whole blog would be all baby pictures. :)

Five Hundred Miles (actually, two thousand.)

Well, they are gone. It was such a joy to have them here, but I feel so empty now.
We had a lively song fest for awhile yesterday evening to try out my brand new guitar. First Jimmy played, and then I took my turn. The songs were cheerful, even my little tongue-in-cheek goodbye song to the babies:
“…now it’s time to say goodbye to all our company.Jimmy left the room to pack up the car for the airport, and I smiled, snuggled my face into Stevie's feather-soft hair, and idly began singing him another old song:
M-I-C (see you real soon!) K-E-Y (why? Because Grandma loves you!) M-O-U-S-E!”

“If you miss the train I’m on, you will know that I am gone, you can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles…”I caught myself off guard with my choice of song. Right then, it hit me like a ton of bricks that they are leaving and it will be a year before I can see them again. Why does this country have to be so big, anyway?
“Lord I’m one, Lord I’m two, Lord I’m three, Lord I’m four, Lord I’m Five Hundred Miles away from home…”
I couldn’t finish the song. It made me cry.

This is how we create a family band!
Starring Jimmy, John, Andy and Stevie.
Sorry, video quality isn't the greatest, but this is family bonding through music at its very best! :)

The Birthday Bash
The kids' last day in town is tomorrow, so I will be able to get back to writing soon. In the meantime, here is a slideshow of Andy and Stevie's first birthday bash that we had at Cici's Pizza last night. We also celebrated Grandma's 80th birthday along with Tiff's ?? birthday. (I know, but I won't tell on you, Tiff! :) )

They're here! :)

They are on the way! Are we ready????
Jimmy, Tiffanie, and my grand-twins are arriving today! :)
Here is the warning photo that Tiff sent yesterday.

I’m not worried. As long as Jim and Tiff are bringing their cages and extra liners we should be just fine!
Ah well, it should just add to the zoo-like atmosphere we have going around here. I’m talking about the joys of remodeling. This is what the main bathroom looks like right now. Everybody will be using the bathroom attached to our bedroom. Oh joy!

The timing of all this was not my idea, remember? Dang probate, anyway. (grumble.)

Another page from Grandma's Brag book. :)
Here is a typical morning in the life of two babies. I am really starting to dig on this grandma thing. I can enjoy the little sweeties, but the cleanup duty belongs to their parents. Jimmy, Tiffanie and the babies are coming from Maine to visit us in three weeks so I may get to help a bit in that department very soon. However, when I get tired of it I can give them back!
Tiff just sent these photos today. It's nice to get pictures, but it will be so much better when I can hold them, and squeeze them and kiss on them! Naturally they are the cutest twins in the world. (Sorry Arthur and Allen!)
Needless to say, this grandma can't wait 'til they get here.

First we make a BIG mess. :)
Then we get a good bath!

It's good to have a friend who always has your back.

Would you like to see pictures of my grandkids?
Sure! I knew you would!!!!
Tiffanie sent some new photos of my handsome grand-twins yesterday. They are now 9 months old.
Here is my sweet Stevie Baby:

Here is my sweet Andy Baby:

Since a picture is worth a thousand words I am saving myself a whole lot of work, not to mention preventing carpal tunnel syndrome, by posting more photos than words.
Yeah, yeah, I know this is just a big excuse for not writing much! I promise to share some of my deeper thoughts sometime in the near future!

The most beautiful grand-twins in the world!!!
Here are Stevie and Andy on their first visit with Santa. It looks like they are already conspiring with each other! :)
I only wish they didn't live on the other side of the country. I did send a big box full of sweet baby things for their first Christmas, we do get to watch them on the web-cam... but I can't hold and squeeze them!

Here are their parents: my son Jimmy and his lovely wife Tiffanie.

I'm only gently complaining about them being so far away. I know that I have been so blessed...
