Here is the latest on our home purchase.
The court date for the completion of the probate proceedings has been set for May 28. However, the contract we made on the new house expires today. The seller does not want to continue the contract. I can't say that I blame him under the circumstances.
Sigh.
I really wanted that house.
Maybe it will still be on the market when the probate is complete.

Sometimes things happen the way they do for a reason. Perhaps there's another, better house that's meant to be yours.
Try not to let it bother you. A house is a house, after all.

I am thinking that he must have another buyer in the wings, otherwise he wouldn't release the contract. That's why I'm depressed.
